Just Sitecore Things

This year we had a pleasure to be a part of Sitecore SUGCON 2019 conference in London. It was 3rd time when I was participating in this event which was a big pleasure for me :)

Location

I think it's hard to find more business and representative place than London to organize such a conference. The main event was organized in London City, so there wasn't an issue with transport, etc. Inside SUGCON everything was prepared in a perfect way and there was enough amount of space to feel comfortable for, everyone.

  

Presentations

 During the whole SUGCON there were a lot of great presentations. Each of the participants had to choose one from a few which were presenting simultaneously. From my point view I remember very good presentations regarding Publishing Services, Commerce and JSS, JSS and SXA, Azure and SIF. But probably other people had different paths in the agenda so they will have different memories ;)

Besides presentations, it was a brilliant time to meet guys from other countries, with whom we got to know a few years ago. Socializing, networking, discussing, keeping relations, that is a fantastic time.

Hi all!

In this post I would like to share with you my memories from lat SUGCON which was placed in Berlin, Germany.

At the beginning I would like to say it was one of the best time I've ever had in my professional 'career' ;) Hence, my description could be a little bit subjective :) , but in other hand it should be a better motivation for those, who haven't attend in this conference to change it and join!

First of all,

Berlin

It was my first visit in this city. The main building which dominates over others is Berlin TV Tower, besides that I was surprised what a beautiful old town there is, so small stroll was a pure pleasure. Just take a look on pictures below.

Conference

It has started like good party in the club. I felt this power in the air.

It's good point to notice that before the conference has started, we had an opportunity to pass Sitecore Certification exam on the newest Sitecore 9 version. That was 1st success during that days, new Sitecore 9 certificate.

Also I would like to congratulates for the organizers for whole services like catering, which were on really top level. Perfect job guys !

Presentations

Hard to cover all topic were available during this two days, we can mention GraphQL with JSS team, Marketing Automation by Alexi Vershalovich and of course presentation about SIX by Robert Senktas, my good mate from SUGPL community and same company as well :)

Hackathon 2018 - Winners Announcements

One of the best moments in my life! Nobody knows before that time who won Sitecore Hackathon this year, so there were some hopes, some tension in the air. Akshay Sura has come on the stage and after little kick of he announced that this year Sitecore Hackathon won... LasVegans!!! What means, my team!

I would like to thanks my partners, Tomasz Juranek and Wojciech Urban who has this motivation, power and trust to build together solution that win competition this year!

Afterparty

After all of peresentations, I have still felt endless joy.  Attendees could met at hotel lobby (which was really good and huge) and what we did.

Great time, great people ! :)

Who still haven't been on SUGCON or is wondering is it worth to go, I definitely recommend to take bag, put some clothes, book tickets and meet together in London in 2019.

Few weeks ago, exactly 17th May, me and my "Sitecore" friends went to Amsterdam to SUGCON 2017. It was first time when I was attending to this event and I have to say it was really good time there. I've gather news from presentation, meet new friends and see in 'real life' old ones ;)

In this short post I would like to share with my SUGCON 2017 memories :)

First impression ?

Amsterdam of course, before Sugcon I was only on Schipol airport during transfer flights. But it was nice to visit other places :) Lots of bikes, beautiful canals and lovely architecture. After this everyone of us was in good mood to start with Sitecore part of the trip.

Conference

So many kind person which love Sitecore, the atmosphere of celebration was in the air. I've have a few talks with guys from other countries and share our experience and ideas according to particular Sitecore topics.

I have to highlight food.. nobody was hungry I assume :)

Presentations

The main part whole conference, presentation. It was so motivating to hear information about JS services in Sitecore or Publishing Services also great presentation. I hope that nobody will be angry on my but I admire Bas Lijten & Rob Habraken who has build own robot to show each conference that channels in Sitecore means everything. we can say sky is the limit. Amazing job Bas & Rob and of course say hello to Robbie :)

Afterparty

we had great opportunity get to know each other more on afterparty organized by Mirabeau

company. The made their office available for all conference attendees. It was a pleasure to be there :) Especially they serve even the food :) Really good job guys !

At the end I'm in 100% sure that was good decision to went to Amsterdam. Great place, great news and what the most important great people. We gonna meet on the next conferences I hope. Remember, if you are not sure, it means you should go!
